Here’s what Motor Trend has to say about this re-design:
The outgoing Nautilus was one of our top picks in the midsize luxury SUV segment, and it might just get even better for 2024. Lincoln is redesigning the Nautilus, giving it more length and width, fresh styling, updated technology, and a new available hybrid powertrain. The third-generation 2024 Nautilus reaches for high levels of luxury through its new ambient lighting, scent experiences, and crystal-inspired interior controls.
As is par for the luxury SUV course, Lincoln outfits the new Nautilus with optional features for recharging passengers. Available Rejuvenate is accessible when the Nautilus is parked, and it composes curated sensory experiences via the cabin’s ambient lighting, animations on the screens, and symphonic orchestration. The interior sanctuary is supplemented by additional personal preferences like seating position and massage options, and digital scents (with cartridges housed in the center armrest) will also be offered, both as part of Rejuvenate and as a standalone feature.
And for those interested in what’s under the hood:
Aiming for the widest possible audience, Lincoln is offering gasoline and hybrid powertrains for the 2024 Nautilus. The base engine is a new 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four that’s expected to produce 250 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, five fewer lb-ft than before. An eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive are standard.
The upgrade powertrain is also new. It employs a 2.0-liter turbo-four and links the gas engine to an electric motor and CVT automatic. Output with this arrangement is targeted at 310 hp, and both powertrains should return better fuel economy than last year’s turbo inline-four and V-6 engines.
